The price of petrol and diesel slashed on Thursday across the cities. Today, petrol falls by 10 paise while diesel rates became cheaper by 8-9 paise. In the national capital Delhi, petrol is sold at Rs 71.09 a litre as against Rs 71.19 on Wednesday and diesel is selling at Rs 65.81 as compared to Rs 65.89.
In Mumbai, petrol and diesel are priced at Rs 76.72 and Rs 68.91 per litre respectively. In Chennai, petrol is sold at Rs 73.80 while diesel is sold at Rs 69.52 per litre. Petrol and diesel are selling at Rs 73.18 and Rs 67.59 respectively, in Kolkata.

In Noida, petrol is being sold at Rs 70.82 per litre, cut by 8 paise while diesel is being sold at Rs 64.98 a litres, decrease by 7 paise. In Gurugram, petrol is being retailed at Rs 71.85 while diesel is being sold at Rs 65.60 per litre.
On Thursday, in the international oil market, crude price went up amid indications of lower imports into the US as part of efforts by OPEC to tighten the market. Global Brent crude oil futures were trading at USD 62.17 per barrel, up 52 cents, or 0.8 per cent from their past close.
