Petrol and diesel prices were reduced again for the 6th straight day on Tuesday as international crude prices extended its downward trend.
In the national capital Delhi, Petrol is priced at Rs 70.31per litre and diesel is sold at Rs 64.82 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol is selling at Rs 75.90, down 23 paise from yesterday’s rate of Rs 76.13 while diesel is retailed at Rs 67.66 compared to Rs 68.81 yesterday.
In Kolkata, petrol is sold at Rs 72.28 while diesel is sold at Rs 66.40, down by 15 paise as against Monday’s price.
In Chennai, petrol and diesel are selling at Rs 72.84 and Rs 68.41, down by 8 paise and 29 paise respectively.
The petrol and diesel price dependent on the global rates of benchmark fuel and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate. Also, for the reason that a large quantity of India’s oil requirement is met through imports.
