Petrol and diesel were reduced again on Friday after keeping fuel prices unchanged for two straight days. In the national capital Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 68.44 as compared to Rs 68.65 on Thursday and diesel is priced at Rs 62.44, as compared to Rs 62.66 yesterday.
In Mumbai, petrol is sold at Rs 74.10, down by 20 paise today compared to yesterday’s rate of Rs 74.30, and diesel is selling at Rs 65.34, down 22 paise from Rs 65.56 yesterday.
In Kolkata, petrol is sold at Rs 70.58 per litre and diesel is selling at Rs 64.21 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is selling at Rs 71.01 while diesel is sold at Rs 65.91 per litre.
Meanwhile, International Brent crude futures were down 39 cents, or 0.7 per cent, at 0155 GMT at $55.56 a barrel in Asian trade on Friday. It may be noted that Fuel rates in the country depend on both international crude price and rupee-dollar exchange rate.
