Fuel prices were cut again on Monday as international crude oil prices continued to fall last week and the Indian rupee also appreciated against the US dollar.
Today, Petrol prices went cut by 35-37 paise, diesel prices were reduced by 41-43 paise per litre in all major cities across the country.
In national capital Delhi, Petrol was priced at Rs 74.49 as against Rs 74.84 yesterday and diesel was selling at Rs 69.29 compared to Rs 69.70 on Sunday.
In Mumbai, petrol was retailed at Rs 80.03 per litre compared to Rs 80.38 on Sunday and diesel became cheaper by 43 paise to Rs 72.56 per.
In Chennai, petrol was retailing at Rs 77.32 per litre as against Rs 77.69 on Sunday and diesel was sold at Rs 73.20. In Kolkata petrol was sold at Rs 76.47 as against Rs 76.82 per litre yesterday while diesel was sold Rs 71.14 respectively.
In Noida, petrol was sold at Rs 73.45 on Monday compared to 73.79 yesterday and diesel was sold at Rs 67.93 compared to Rs 68.35 on Sunday.
In November so far, petrol prices cut by nearly Rs 3 per litre while diesel has become cheaper by nearly Rs 2 per litre.
On October 4, the government announced to cut excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 1.50 per litre each and asked state-owned fuel retailers to subsidise by another Re 1 a litre.
