Petrol, diesel prices rise on Thursday after remaining unchanged for the last two straight day.
In the National capital Delhi, petrol is retailed at Rs 68.88 per litre compared to Rs 68.50 on Wednesday. Diesel in Delhi is priced at Rs 62.53, up 29 paise compared to yesterday’s price.
In Mumbai, petrol is selling at Rs 74.53, 37 paise higher than yesterday’s price and diesel is sold at Rs 65.43, 31 paise higher than Wednesday’s price of Rs 65.12 per litre.
In Chennai, petrol is selling at Rs 71.47 per litre as against Rs 71.07 on Wednesday and diesel is sold at 66.01 per litre.
In Kolkata, petrol is sold at Rs 71.01 per litre against as Rs 70.64 on Wednesday and diesel is selling at Rs 64.30 on Thursday.
Oil rates cut down by 1 per cent today on swelling US supply, although the mood in global markets was increasingly confident amid hopes the United States and China may soon end trade disputes that have undermined global economic growth.
Brent crude futures were trading at $60.84 per barrel On Thursday, down 0.96 % from their earlier close on swelling US supplies. Crude prices higher by over 10 per cent in the previous six trading sessions.
