Fuel prices were reduced for the fourth straight day on Monday. Petrol became cheaper by 21-23 paise per litre in all the metro cities and diesel prices released by 20-21 paise per litre.
In the national capital Delhi, petrol was selling at Rs 78.56 per litre while diesel was sold at Rs 73.16 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol was selling at Rs 84.06 per litre, down 22 paise while diesel was priced at Rs 76.67 per litre.
In Chennai, petrol was sold at Rs 81.61 per litre while diesel was retailing at Rs 77.34 per litre.
In Kolkata, petrol was priced at Rs 80.47 per litre while diesel was priced at Rs75.02 per litre.
In the last 19th day, the petrol price has been dropped by more Rs 4 per litre and diesel by over Rs 2.50. On Sunday, the petrol price was cut by 21 paise a litre and diesel cut by 17 paise, according to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) data.
