Fuel prices were reduced again on Thursday after a one-day gap. Petrol price was slashed by 14-16 paise while diesel became cheaper by 9-11 paise after today’s revision.
In the national capital Delhi, petrol was priced at Rs 77.28 per litre and diesel was sold at Rs 72.09 per litre. Petrol was selling at Rs 75.65 in Noida and diesel was sold at Rs 70.33.
In Mumbai, petrol was retailed at Rs 82.80 per litre, down 14 paise while diesel was selling at Rs 75.53.
In Chennai, petrol was priced at Rs 80.26 per litre an diesel was sold at Rs 76.19 per litre. In Kolkata, petrol was retailing at Rs 79.21 per litre and diesel was selling at Rs Rs 73.95 per litre.
The petrol and diesel price have continued reduced cut the past few days. On Wednesday, petrol was sold at Rs 77.43 per litre in Delhi and diesel was priced at Rs 72.19 per litre. Petrol was retailed at Rs 82.94 per litre while diesel was selling at Rs 75.64 per litre in Mumbai.
On October 4, The government announced to cut taxes for consumers on fuel by Rs 2.50 per litre. The excise duty cut by Rs 1.50 per litre on fuel.
