Two Youths who stole 743 grams gold biscuits worth Rs.24 lakh, held

KAKINADA: Two youths were arrested by Three Town Crime Police here on Monday for theft and seized 743 grams of goldbiscuits worth of Rs.24 lakh from them.

On October 9, Prashant Jadhav, (19), and Sushant Jadhav, (23), of Karvi village in Sangli district of Maharashtra stole two golden ingots weighing 743 grams from the store.


Police said on Monday that Prashant worked at his uncle’s shop but quit due to an argument with the store owner Sathish Jadhav.


As per the complaint by the store owners, the Kakinada Crime police kept a vigil on the two youth. When the youths came to Kakinada to recover from a secret spot, the police arrest them.
