Two youths posing as locksmiths stole jewellery worth Rs five lakh


AHMEDABAD: On Wednesday, two robs posing as locksmiths stole jewellery valued at Rs five lakh from a house at Ramdas Society in Bapunagar.

Satnam Kaur Bagga, (68), the mother of serving judge Kushveersinh Bagga is now posted in Gir Somnath of Una district, has lodged a complaint of theft at Bapunagar police station.

According to the complaint, two youths posing as locksmiths repairers and wearing turbans like Sikhs had come to the society.  Bagga called them in to repair 5 locks. They lubricated the locks and then asked her to give them some key like those used in lockers.

Police said, two youths then asked her to check whether the key is working or not. Bagga told youths that she was able to lock the locker but couldn’t open it with the key.

One youth on the cause repairing went inside the room and fixed the lock, police officials said.

After they went fled away, Satnam found the inside locker was broken and gold jewellery belongings to her daughter in law were missing.
