Two chain snatching cases reported in Two days


Nashik: On Monday and Tuesday, 2 cases of gold chain snatchings were reported with Indiranagar police. In both the cases, a woman was targeted by bike-borne accused who snatched gold chains weighing 15 gm each.

on Tuesday, in incident that took place, the 38-year-old complainant was heading towards her residence in Chetana Nagar when suspects came from behind and one riding pillion snatched gold chain. Before woman could do anything, suspects had escaped.

The 2nd incident took place at 7.55pm along Ravishankar Marg in Indiranagar. The complainant, woman (43), was walking near Bajrang Society when bike-borne suspects snatched gold chain and escaped from scene.

A senior police officer said that in view of increasing cases of the chain snatchings they have deployed additional police personnel in the Indiranagar area to keep check on the chain snatchers. “Chain snatchings are happening across city and we are cracking cases and arresting chain robbers involved in these offences,” he said.
