Three inter-State thieves held, loot worth Rs 18.6 lakh seized


TIRUPATI –  Police have detained 3 inter-State robbers for their connection in many house-breaking incidents reported from in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Hyderabad, and recovered silver, cash and gold,   all value ₹18.66 lakh from the possession of them.

Acting on a special information, on Sunday a police team laid in wait on Chelopalle-Alipiri road and detained the two criminals— Ulavala Rajesh (23) from Gajuwaka and Shaik Jani (23) from Vijayawada in Visakhapatnam—who were involved in the crimes.

During questioning, they both admitted to their participation in house-breaking crimes reported from Gajulamandyam police limits in Tirupati, Tiruchanur, Muthyala Reddy Palle. The police recovered 112 grams of gold, six motorcycles, 750 grams of silver, from their possession.

Another police team detained Jogi Srinivasulu (39) from Punganur town, police recovered 6.34 kg of silver, 207 grams of gold and ₹37,000 in cash.
