Sullia – Apr 11: on Wednesday April 10, Bellare police, succeeded in detain a person suspect of stealing gold, silver ornaments and cash from a residence at Bellare in the taluk,
Radha (28), wife of Somalingappa, lived in a rented house at Kolambala in Bellare village in the taluk had police filed complaint of stealing on April 6 this year. She said that 11 grams of precious gold and silver ornaments and Rs 750 in cash, completely worth Rs 24,750 were taken from a steel box in which she had kept them at her house. She also claimed that the stealing had happened before 9 am on April 6.
The accused has been identified as Shivamurthy alias Shivappa (34), son of Ishwarappa. He occurs to be a resident of Gunjiganur in Holalkere taluk, Chitradurga district. Accused has been accused of entering the residence of Radha from Bellare, and stealing precious gold and silver ornaments valued as well as cash, wholly valued at Rs 24,750.
On the basis of complaint made about the stealing, police had registered the case and started the investigation. They succeeded in detain the accused from Kolambala in Bellare village on Wednesday and recovered precious gold and silver ornaments stolen.
