Nashik: Jewelry valued Rs 3.65 lakh was stolen from shop in Abhona on intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
Police have formed different teams to capture the criminals involved in midnight shop break-in case and are hopeful about solving it soon.
According to Abhona police, the thieves managed to enter the jewelry store by breaking its shutter with help of a cutter.
Soon after theft was noticed, senior officers, including deputy superintendent of police Sadashiv Waghmare and the assistant police inspector of Abhona police station rushed to spot to conduct the ‘panchnama’.
Police also deployed sniffer dogs to track down trail of thieve. “The CCTV inside the jewelry store has captured images of 4 burglars. They were speaking Hindi. The case is being investigated under guidance of superintendent of police.”
Police that teams have been sent in different parts of district as well as outside Nashik and that case will be solved soon and guilty brought to book.
Police have increased patrolling all over the district to prevent robberies and break-ins in the rural parts of the district, including on the highways.
A senior police officer said that such break-ins have been detected in past and this too will be detected in the matter of few days.
