Three separate cases of temple robberies in the district, during the past three days, have left the police confused.
Police suspect the participation of a single gang, given the arresting similarity in modus operandi.
Valuables and cash worth around Rs. 1.45 lakh were reportedly stolen by the robbers in the three cases.
In all the three burglary cases, the thieves targeted the hundis and in one incident that was reported from a temple at Padamati Narsapuram in Julurupadu mandal on Monday night, the robs took away the hundi itself, police said.
In the first incident, robs struck a temple in Guttamallaramvillage in Manuguru mandal and escaped with gold and other valuable ornaments.
The other robbery was at Kodandaramalayam at Vepalagadda in Sujathanagar. Police have established a special team to track down the gang involved in the temple robberies, said the police.
