Eluru: In the bhimavaram town of Andhra Pradesh a gold robbery worth Rs 6.50 crore took place on Monday. According to the reports, the shop was owned by Maddula Venkata Nagaraju and three of his brothers.
They opened the shop near Prakasham Chowk & started it in morning only to discover a hole punched through its roof and stole jewellery weighing 2 kg. However, the entire act was recorded in a CCTV installed in the premises.
The case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the showroom owner with the I Town Police. In the complaint, it was mentioned that the shop was opened on Sunday on account of upcoming Ugadi festival and was shut early in the evening.
The police are taking the help of the CCTV footage to nab the culprits.
