Rs. 3.5 Lakh cash, Silver Coins stolen from a wholesale medicine shop

Jamshedpur: A wholesale medicine shop was robbed on Saturday with the owner suspects former employees to be the offender saying that cash and valuables of Rs 5 lakh were missing.

According to Shankar Mittal, owner of  R.P. Graphics on Goushala Road, the thieves had broken the lock on a back gate to enter the shop. They took away 250gm silver coins, Rs 3.5 lakh in cash, coins worth Rs 60,000 from the drawers of the cash box and a laptop.

The shop also has the CCTV’s but when owner’s son Vivek try to see the footage he found the hard drive broken. he calls a technician who says that the hard disk had not been functioning since 29 April.

Police too suspicious that those in the know of the shop’s design had a hand in the burglary.

Shankar said they had 4 workers, 3 of whom were women.  Between November 2017 and March 2018, 2 employees members left. Maybe one of them has done the crime. he also said that he did not doubtful any of the current employees.
