NAVI MUMBAI – The police have solved 9 more house break-in cases across the Maharashtra and recovered 26 tola of precious gold from an inter-State gang of burglars arrested by Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Raigad in the month of July.
With this, the number of cases solved by the police has gone up to 21, with a total of 57 kilograms gold recovered from burglars.
The gang members, who are from Madhya Pradesh (M.P), broke into residences in various districts, including Pune, Raigad and Ahmednagar. They have been identified as 23-year-old Sunil Lalsingh Mujhalda, 18-year-old Ravi alias Chotu Mohan 18-year-old Daavar and Kapil Gajendra Pancholi alias Jain (18), all belonging to adivasi tribe. While Mr. Daavar and Mr. Mujhalda broke into residences, Mr. Jain purchased stolen jewelry.
They were arrested with the help of dump data and CCTV footage. Initially, the police believed gang was involved in 12 cases, but burglars have now revealed details of 9 more. The cases are from Alibaug, Pen, Mahad police stations in Raigad district, Khed police station, Bhor in Pune district, Loni in Ahmednagar district and Chiplun police station.
