Ornaments stolen from doctor’s house

Unknown burglars stole gold, cash ₹2 lakh and diamond jewellery valued over ₹1 crore and from a doctor’s Residence in Nungambakkam. On Wednesday The theft came to known after he returned from London.

Police said, Kaushik about 46 years old from Kamdar Nagar, Nungambakkam. He owned a clinic on Jambulingam Street and also do a job as a consultant in a private hospital in the city. he and his family left to London On June 18.

He returned to Chennai On Wednesday morning. Upon reaching home, he arrived in his office room to take money to pay the taxi driver. He finds that the jewels and money, including diamonds and gold ornaments, kept in the Residence, were missing. He filed a complaint with the Nungambakkam police. The police are questioning the house-keepers and other people working in his residence.
