Bhopal – Gold and silver jewelry valued Rs 1 lakh were stolen from a house at Gulmohar victim lodged police complaint after she found valuables missing from residence. Police said that complainant Anita Pawar found that jewellery kept in almirah was stolen.
A police complaint was lodged with the Shahpura police in which she stated that she had kept the jewelry on 17 June and around 3 days ago she again kept gold jewellery and when she checked almirah on 18 July it was found stolen.
3 gold chains, 1 gold finger ring, 1 gold pendant, 1 gold necklace were stolen.
Police suspects that criminals were aware of whereabouts of residence owner and acquainted with victim. miscreants had access to residence which provided easy entry and exit. security guard and domestic help would be interrogated.
Based on complaint after preliminary investigation police have listed a case and have started the further investigation.
The victim is housewife and recently returned from the Amla but at time of return valuables was in almirah and later they were stolen.
The targeted house is located in a posh colony and is guarded by security guards. The CCTV cameras installed would be investigated which would help in establishing the identity of the miscreants.
Police suspects that some insider is involved in the burglary and helped the miscreants but to ascertain it investigation would be done and locals and family members would be quizzed.
