Jewellery and cash stolen from BJP MLA’s flat


Lucknow: Unknown miscreants made away with Rs 1.50 lakh in cash and jewellery worth several lakh rupees from a flat chosen to BJP’s Lakhimpur (Sadar) MLA Yogesh Verma at ‘Bahukhandi Mantri Awas.

According to the police, the incident came to a light he had gone to attend some meetings organized by his party staffs on May 1.

When Verma returned to his flat on Monday. He found the locks of the gate broken. He checked his properties which made it apparent to him that the house had been looted. Then, he called the police.

A team reached the spot for investigation and also to collect another clue from the crime scene.

A cash of robbery has been registered. the police are currently enquiring those on duty at the entry of the apartment and also trying to procure CCTV camera footage from the area and the robs seemed to identify the inside area of the house well.

Verma said robs had hit the same flat in 2017. when it was then chosen to then MLA from Samajwadi Party, Utkarsh Verma from Lakimpur (Sadar).
