IOB robbery: Cops reach to Nepal to Arrest guard

Chennai: A day after a daring heist at Indian Overseas Bank’s Virugambakkam branch came to light, Police teams have rushed to Nepal in search of the suspect, investigators confirmed that Shabi Lal, 38, a security guard from Nepal who had worked at the bank for five years, was the key suspect. police found his wife also missing from the house she was residing on the outskirts of the city.

It is suspected that Lal’s son Dillu, 18,  too might be having links in the heist, since he too was reportedly missing.

Five teams have been formed to nab the main accused, Sabi Lal, and his accomplices in connection with the burglary police said that a team has left for Nepal in pursuit of the accused.
