BHUBANESWAR – On Sunday night The Air Intelligence unit of the Customs Department seized yellow metal weighing around 707 grams from a female passenger, who arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport from Dubai. According to the Sources the worth of the gold seized from the woman was Rs 24 lakh.

The Customs officials detained the gold from a bag carried by the lady who arrived at the airport after living an Air India flight from Dubai. The woman addressing from Maharashtra was subsequently Arrested by the officials and a further examination was launched.
On February 19, gold bars weighing around 1 kilogram were seized from a lady passenger, who arrived from the capital city New Delhi via flight no- AI-077. The Revenue Intelligence officials stopped her and found 8 gold bars concealed inside her personal baggage.
