Gold rings cost Rs1.75 lakh stolen


The police have registered a case against an unknown person for theft a packet of precious gold rings from a jewellery shop at New Kartar Nagar area. The shop owner of this shop is Sunil Verma, said the burglar visited his shop posing as a purchaser on March 29. While his employee was showing him rings, the thief stole a packet which contain 20 rings valued Rs 1.75 lakh.

he learnt in the evening time that one packet of precious gold rings was absent. The thief paid Rs 500 and told the employee that he would bring more money. After watching recording of the CCTV cameras in the shop, the owner came to know that while his employee was showing rings to the thief, he smartly stole the packet.

Verma said that a similar theft occurrence had taken place at Nabha area a week ago. “Jewellers of Nabha up-to-date us about an occurrence in which a thief had stolen jewellery with the same way. It looks the same thief committed both burglaries.
