Gold, Pistol, bullets stolen from cop’s Akola home


AKOLA: 10 bullets, A service pistol, and precious gold jewellery were stolen from the residence of a police sub-inspector in Akola in Maharashtra, a police official said on Sunday.

Sub-inspector Rajesh Joshi of Old City police station here was out on holiday with his family when burgles broke into his residence in Geetanagar locality, According to Inspector Prakash Pawar.

“The burglary came to light Sunday afternoon after Joshi returned from holiday. 10 bullets, A 9mm pistol, and gold jewellery have gone missing,” Pawar said.

A case of house-breaking burglary has been registered, he added.
