Gold Ornaments and cash stolen from showroom and flat


Pune: In distinct occurrences of thefts, unknown men stole ornaments and cash, together valued over Rs 4.91 lakh, from a private showroom at Shukruwar Peth and a flat at Bopkhel between 24 May and 25 May.

According to police, unknown persons entered the flat At Bopkhel by breaking the locks of flat number 103 at Kalpataru Residency in Ganeshnagar and decamped with gold ornaments and Rs 4 lakh in cash, total priced Rs 4.45 lakh, between 8am and 2pm.

On Friday night, The break-in came to known after flat owner Narendra Sharma (50) lodged an FIR at Dighi Police Station.

Meanwhile, at Shukruwar Peth unknown persons broke the shutter locks of a private showroom and stole cash and an iron safe, together valued Rs 46,830, between 24 May and 25.

On Friday, The incident came to known after a worker found the shutter lock broken around 10 am. Showroom manager, Feddy Almeda (36), filed a complaint at Khadak Police Station.

The CCTVs have captured two men cutting the lock of showroom but their faces are coverd with the cloth.

The case was regeisterd and the manhunt for the accused is on.
