Gold chain snatched from a man


TRICHY: On Saturday, police registered a case of chain break-in and snatching in the city.

On Saturday evening, a 43-year-old man, S Thomas belonging of Papa colony extension in Edamalaipattipudhur in Trichy city was walking near Velankanni school in his locality. A man on two-wheeler came from his behind and snatched his 3 sovereign gold chain.

Thomas tried to catch the offender and fails, but he noted the down the registration number of the bike and lodged a police complaint. According to police, the jewellery is valued at approximately Rs 75,000.

On Saturday Meanwhile, the Airport police department in the city also received a complaint from a 43-year-old, T Sundaram, from Koothaipaar village in Thiruverumbur.

On Friday, The plaintiff, an office manager of Alpha School at Sudhana Nagar, had left to his resident from the office after handing over the key of the managerial office to the security people in the evening.

On Saturday morning, When Sundaram returned back to the office he found the main door office broken. Further, he found Rs 10,000 cash kept in the office was stolen. He also found some of the school-related documents kept in the bureau missing. The Airport police registered an FIR.
