Ludhiana – burglers escaped with 80 tolas of precious gold ornaments, Rs 2.26 lakh in cash and some other goods from the residence of a cycle parts manufacturer at the Urban Estate, Phase 2.
House owner Rajan Kumar Jain said he owned a factory in Phase 7. On Tuesday, he dropped his mother Sulekha at railway station to catch train for Haridwar. Afterwards, he along with his wife and his son left for Himachal Pardesh.
They had given keys of residence to their servant Rupesh. Today, when he reached residence and saw broken locks, he up-to-date Jain. Burgles entered residence from side gate, broke the locks of doors and almirah and escaped with valuables, added Jain. The police have launched an investigation.
