Family of ex-chief justice of Delhi high court assaulted

The theft took place at the residence of Dalip Kapoor, a former chief justice of the Delhi High Court.

The police said that the wife of a former chief justice and her daughter were assaulted by their domestic help, Sandeep.

Two robs was tied with ropes, held captive by him and his friends before they escaped with cash and jewellery.

The family had appointed Sandeep recently. He called his friends over to the residence in New Friends Colony and executed the break-in on Monday.

According to the police, Reeba Kapoor, (78), wife of a former judge told the police that Sandeep, along with his assistant, attacked her and her daughter, Sheeba (45).

Then, they tied them with ropes and fled away with jewellery and cash worth Rs1 lakh.

Police registered a complaint with New Friends Colony police station and efforts are being made to arrest the suspects.
