RAIPUR – A joint team of Raipur Police’s Cyber Cell and Pandri police detained a chain snatcher and recovered loots worth Rs 1 lakh from his control. “Based on precise info coupled with ongoing examination, the team has detained a chain snatcher identified as 32-year-old Vijay Yadav, of Pandri locality. From his control, detectives have seized a stolen motorcycle and a gold made chain snatched from a woman at the Mowa locality.
The assessed market value of seized loots would be Rs one lakh,” said the police sources. Shedding more information about case, police sources info that in May this year, Yadav had snatched gold chain of woman recognized as Uttara Devi Verma at Mowa locality under the Pandri police limits. Initially, the snatcher tried to mislead police detectives but on being subjected to intense grilling, Yadav admitted of committing snatching and lifting motorcycle under in crime from limits of the Civil Lines police station. According to information, with detention of Yadav, Pandri claimed to have solved case of the chain snatching.
