Vadodara: Thieves escaped with cash and jewellery valued at Rs 3.2 lakh from the house of a businessman in Tandalja when he was away with his family at his native home in West Bengal.
On Thursday, complainant Habibul Khan lodged the complaint at police station even as the break-in had occurred on 28 October.

Khan owns a plastic pipe manufacturing unit in Ranoli GIDC, told the officers that got a call on 29 October from the president of his housing society to inform about the burglary.
He had asked his neighbour to inform the police so that initial search can be done even if he lodged the complaint later.
Police said that khan returned to the city on Wednesday. The thieves had stolen silver and gold ornaments valued at Rs 2.6 lakh and Rs 60,000 in cash from a safe kept in his room. Police had to conduct a primary investigation.
