Chandigarh: The accused was arrested for committing a robbery at his own house, fled from the police custody on Thursday while he was being carried to the Maloya police station from a local court. The suspect was later nabbed by the police
According to the police, the suspect, Gurwinder Singh, alias Gaggi, of Dadu Majra village, was arrested on June 6 on a complaint of his father Amrik Singh, who had alleged that Gaggi committed a robbery at his house. Amrik had alleged that his son had stolen silver and gold and Rs 20,000 from the house on May 27.
A cash of robbery was registered at the Maloya police station. A team of the police arrested the accused. While being carried back from the court, the accused pushed the cops and fled from outside the police station.
The cops had parked the vehicle outside the police station when the accused pushed the cop and ran away. The cops immediately launched a search and after a few hours, the accused was nabbed.
