Box containing gold ornaments worth Rs2 lakh, stolen


PUNE: On Thursday A gang stole a box having gold jewellery valued Rs2 lakh from a woman’s bag this incident took place between Warje and Sus bridge on Katraj-Dehu Road bypass when she was travelling in a six-seater autorickshaw.

Neha Garade (33) of Nande village has lodged a complaint with the Hinjewadi police. according to to police she had gone to her mother’s house to attend a function two days ago.

According to Garade, On Thursday While returning home, she takes a six-seater autorickshaw from Warje bridge she kept the box containing the gold jewels in her bag. When the autorickshaw reached near Sus bridge, a man asked her for some water. she open her my bag and gave him the water bottle.

She said that the man and a few other travelers got off the vehicle near Sus bridge. While keeping the bottle back in the bag, she found that the box was missing. she lodge a police complaint, Police said the man’s might have stolen the box of gold valuables.

The case is registered and the hunt for the accused is on.
