A 37-year-old employee is arrested for stealing 1kg gold by Delhi police from central Delhi (Karol Bagh) all one kg gold was stolen from his employer’s shop where he was employed.
The accused has been identified as Sukhdev, a native of Panipat, and he was arrested yesterday from JwalaHeri market in West Delhi Paschim Vihar, they said.
DCP M.N Tiwarisaid, “we have arrested Sukhdev and recovered 552 gram of pure gold and amount of 10 lacks from the accused”.
On December 31, 2017, a jewellery showroom owner in Ranjit Nagar had complained to the policethat one of his employees had fled with a one kg gold which was handed over to him for delivery to a customer in Pitampura.
When RanjitNagar called Sukhdev and Sukhdev said he has gone to Panipat because his parents had suddenly fallen ill.
Then RanjitNagar understands his problem and After some day when accused did not return and then his phone also goes switched off Ranjit Nagar comes to police and ask for help.
On a tip-off, the police on Jan 22, 2018, found a man wandering in Jwala Heri market with the intention to sell ahuge quantity of gold who turned out to be Sukhdev. the official said
Then police set a trap and arrested Sukhdev and recovered 522 gm of stolen gold besides Rs 10 lakh cash which he got by selling the remaining gold, the official said he confess that he stolen 1 kg gold and sold some gold .
