3 passengers detained at Jaipur airport with 3 kg gold

JAIPUR: On Sunday, the department of revenue intelligence (DRI) detained three passengers with their local handler in connection with the smuggling of 3 kg of gold from Bangkok to the pink city Jaipur. Sleuths recovered and later seized the gold which was concealed in rectum of the 3 passengers.

According to the senior officer Department of revenue intelligence (DRI), they have special information that 3 passengers including a female who hail from Punjab are coming from Bangkok and the three will deliver the smuggled gold to their local handler.

On the bases of that special info, the sleuths frisked 3 passengers including a female. while search of them, It was found that each of them had concealed one-kilogram gold each in their rectum. A capsule holding gold had been implanted in the rectum.

DRI has also arrested the local person who had come to receive the three, was also found at the airport. during the interrogation all the accused confessed their crime, they said that was their first attempt and the handlers said that they will pay rs 10000 per trip to smuggle gold.
